The house itself is a large spacious family house that has been adapted specifically to accommodate people with learning difficulties.

Your loved one will have their own room where they can bring their own treasured possessions and personal items so that they really feel at home.

features two sitting rooms so there's always space to do your own thing. There's also a fully equipped
new kitchen, dining room & en-suites for the bedrooms.

Athelstan House has an outstanding record of providing transformational care and a truly fulfilling quality of life. You'll find that the level of love and attention provided to your loved one is second to none. All the staff are members of the same family which has created a unique atmosphere in which our residents thrive.

Several have been referred to us from other homes who could not cope with their severe behavioural problems. However, they have demonstrated radical transformations over time, which their families and social workers have found quite remarkable.

We attribute this simply to the time, kindness, endless patience, love and understanding that we give to all who come into our care. And that is down to our staff for whom care is a vocation, not a job.
